![]() But I totally agree that a zombie mode or game based more around the military and establishing safe zones to rescue civilians would be awesome, not just civies who somehow become expert survivors. These are just two ideas I had, hopefully they make sense, my descriptions are a bit wordy so sorry for that. Maybe there could be random events or random spawns at the start of the game of of crews isolated and needing rescue, if you save them they join you. Wargame Red Dragon is thrilling in single-player mode with its new dynamic campaign system, and also offers an extensive multiplayer mode where up to 20. So in practice you might start the game with 3 helicopter crews but 5 helicopters, If a helicopter is damaged and then crashes but you can rescue the crew in time, there is a spare helicopter at you main base. Something that would be unique to the zombie mode would be having limited crews for the number of vehicles, meaning you start with a certain nubmer and so they are worth rescuing if you can then put them in a new vehicle (if you have any left at base). If a tank runs out of fuel or ammo or is damged you can tell the crew to bail out and make for saftey, downed pilots could be stuck in dangerous places and you have to try and rescue them. Something that I wish was in wargame (and more importantly if a zombie mod were to be made, I don't quite know how it would work in vanilla yet) would be vehicles having crews as seperate units. Instead of invincible tanks that are made immobile by hordes, have the zombies swarm ontop and around the tanks and it slowly get damaged, specific parts could be damaged just like in vanilla, this leaves you with the choice to spend time and munitions trying to rescue the tank, leave the rescue longer and have to reapair it more later (or risk it being destroyed if you take to long), or chossing leave it completely and it be damaged to a point of no repair, sacrificing it (and it's crew). ![]() Filename AnnhilationSandboxSubmod1.3.6.zip Category Full Version. Sandbox Mod 6.0.10 'SADF DLC SUPPORT' OUTDATED. One of the first PC games (along with Doom and Bomberman) I remember playing, and the very first RTS I played. In retrospect, both this game (1992) and Emperor (2001) are lacking compared to RTS games released between those years, with only the former having the good excuse of being the first in the (mouse driven RTS) genre.Īnd, IMO, as the first, it laid a shaky and flawed foundation for all RTS games to come (as far as single player is concerned), the early popularity of which, looking back, completely rode on the novelty of said mouse control, hiding the fact that the problem of how to make an interesting game from it, given AI limitations, would never really be solved, despite some promising initial attempts. I played this one well after it was released, completing the Ordos and Atreides campaigns, IIRC, while on a Dune kick after I had finished Emperor Battle for Dune and wanted more Dune.
